We’re pleased to introduce The Raven, Chicago’s newest festival that will provide funding to rebuild and replace the existing playground for future generations. The Raven will take place August 16th and 17th at beautiful Chase Park and on the 4700 block of North Clark Street (between Lawrence and Leland).
Come out and play, and enjoy two full days and nights of live entertainment, food from local restaurants and merchandise from Chicagoland vendors. Cornhole Tournaments
Are you the bag throwing champion on your block? The Cornhole captain of your local watering hole? Come show us what you’ve got! The Raven will feature an American Cornhole Association Sanctioned Cornhole Tournament. Two tournaments will be taking place on August 16th and 17th. A trophy presentation will commence at 6:00 pm on Sunday. Cost of entry must be paid at the event. All proceeds support Community Building Tutors tutoring program at Chase Park. Please sign up before 5:00 pm on Friday the 15th to ensure your spot.
There will be two divisions for the tournament: competitive and non-competitive. The competitive tournament is the American Cornhole Association-sanctioned doubles tournament (double-elimination) beginning Saturday, August 16th at 1:00 pm. Space is limited, so register as soon as possible! There is a $20 entry fee. First and second place winners will be awarded trophies and recognized as the premier Cornhole team in Ravenswood!
The non-competitive tournament will be a single-elimination doubles tournament on Sunday, August 17th beginning at 1:00 pm. Again space is limited, with a $10 entry fee, and a trophies will be awarded to first place. Please feel free to contact us by calling 773.510.2139 with questions.

Volunteers
The Raven could not be a success without the dedication and generosity of the hundreds of volunteers it takes to man the event. We need volunteers for gates, ticket booths, beer (must be 21)/beverage stations, Kidz Nest, as well as general help for set-up and tear down. Volunteer a few hours, then stick around and have some fun! All volunteers receive a free T-shirt and an invitation to the post-event party.
